Bryan Danielson Says He Will Probably Have Five To Ten Matches A Year After 2024

Bryan Danielson offers an update on his future in wrestling.

AEW star Bryan Danielson previously stated that 2024 will be his last full-time year as a wrestler. However, he has also made it clear that he will continue to compete

Speaking to Tokyo Sports, Bryan Danielson noted that he has been wrestling for a long time, and he is trying to scale back his pace. (H/t Jeremy Lambert of Fightful for the translation)

“I’ve been wrestling every week for a long time, and I’m trying to narrow it down in terms of matches,” Danielson said. “After this year, I’ll probably have five to ten matches a year.”

In the interview, Danielson named Hiroshi Tanahashi and Tomohiro Ishii, among other NJPW stars, as competitors he would potentially be interested in facing.

At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18, Bryan Danielson will face Kazuchika Okada in his first match in NJPW since 2004. Danielson previously beat Okada at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2023.

WrestleZone will have coverage of NJPW Wrestle Kingdom 18 once it airs on January 4.
