AEW Dynamite Viewership Decreases On 1/3, Demo Also Drops

AEW Dynamite viewership decreased on January 3.

According to Wrestlenomics, 801,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, drawing a 0.26 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is down from last week’s episode, when 843,000 viewers tuned in. The demo is also down from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.31 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Adam Cole introducing The Undisputed Kingdom and explaining why he turned on MJF. They were interrupted by Jay White and Bullet Club Gold as well as The Acclaimed due to them all being attacked by the Devil’s masked men in recent months.

Elsewhere on the show, Orange Cassidy defeated Dante Martin to retain the AEW International Championship. Konosuke Takeshita also picked up a huge win over Darby Allin.

In the women’s division, Mariah May defeated Queen Aminata in her AEW in-ring debut. After the match, May buried New Jersey, which brought out former IMPACT Knockouts Champion Deonna Purrazzo to announce that she’s All Elite and coming for Toni Storm.

In the main event of the show, Swerve Strickland defeated Daniel Garcia. Following the match, Hangman Page came out and brawled with Strickland to end the show.
