Will Ospreay Says His Last Match In NJPW Will Be On February 11

Will Ospreay‘s time in NJPW is coming to an end, and he has revealed the date of his final day with the company.

Ospreay has been one of NJPW’s top stars in recent years. His contract was set to expire in February, but with NJPW’s blessing, he signed with AEW, as revealed at AEW Full Gear. Ospreay noted that he would be finishing up with NJPW before he fully joined the company.

At NJPW Wrestle Kingdom, Ospreay lost in a three-way match that crowned the inaugural IWGP Global Heavyweight Championship. At NJPW New Year Dash the next day, he announced that February 11 will be his final day with NJPW. He then challenged the Bullet Club War Dogs to face him and United Empire. David Finlay accepted and picked a Steel Cage Match as the stipulation.

NJPW has not had a Steel Cage Match in 20 years.

AEW CEO Tony Khan has previously made it clear that Ospreay will still be able to wrestle for NJPW once he joins the company.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
