Undisputed WWE Universal Title Match Set For WWE Royal Rumble

The odds will be stacked against Roman Reigns at WWE Royal Rumble.

On the “New Year’s Revolution” episode of WWE SmackDown on January 5, Randy Orton faced LA Knight and AJ Styles. The winner of the bout would earn a shot at Reigns’ Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at WWE Royal Rumble.

The three stars battled it out in a thrilling match. It seemed like any one of them would emerge victorious at various points. In the closing minutes, LA Knight got busted open. The contest continued as the competitors went back and forth. However, Reigns, Solo Sikoa, and Jimmy Uso came to the ring and laid everyone out, as they attacked Styles, Orton, and Knight.

General manager Nick Aldis watched as The Bloodline trio decimated the competition. However, he informed Paul Heyman that Reigns would defend the gold against Orton, Knight, and Styles at WWE Royal Rumble.

WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE Royal Rumble as it airs on January 27.
