Dustin Rhodes Says The Odds Have Never Been In His Favor, Calls Christian Cage A Dickhead

AEW has a lot of championship titles. One title that is frequently defended is the TNT Championship. The current champion is Christian Cage. Cage is now set to defend his title against a fellow wrestling veteran Dustin Rhodes.

Ahead of the title match on AEW Dynamite, The Natural One took to Twitter to send one final message to Christian Cage. Dustin Rhodes claimed that he has always had the odds against his favor and thus this Wednesday things won’t be any different.

“I hear the odds are not in my favor. THEY HAVE NEVER BEEN IN MY FAVOR, but I will say this

@Christian4Peeps, my whole career I have had to fight for everything I have and this is no different. The difference between you and me is, you’re a kiss ass who politicked his way into everything, I fight for it with grit, and determination which is something you don’t have. See you Wednesday night dickhead #AEWDynamite @TBSNetwork @AEW,” Dustin Rhodes tweeted.

Swerve Strickland claims his match against Dustin Rhodes was a waste of time

At the AEW World’s End pay-per-view, Dustin Rhodes replaced Keith Lee to wrestle Swerve Strickland. The Mogul Embassy’s leader won the match. Following that, at the post-show media scrum, Strickland claimed that facing Dustin Rhodes was nothing but a waste of time as he didn’t get to wrestle Keith Lee.

“Timeline-wise, it starts tomorrow, truth be told,” Strickland said. “Whatever it is, however long it’s going to take, I just know it’s going to start tomorrow. That’s what I wake up for. Tonight, I feel like my time was wasted, and my time is very valuable to me. As Dustin Rhodes could see that, he paid for that because he got in my way.

“I spent two months in the Continental Classic going after championship gold and I was the one that got pinned the least in the entire tournament. The only one that took one pin in the entire tournament full of aces, not just in AEW but in the entire industry. That says something to me. That says I’m worth something and that says my time is worth something.”

Do you think Rhodes can win his first title in AEW?
