AEW Dynamite Viewership Increases On 1/17, Demo Also Rises

AEW Dynamite saw a big increase in viewership on January 17.

According to Wrestlenomics, 891,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, drawing a 0.33 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode, when 797,000 viewers tuned in. The demo is also up from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.29 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Dynamite this week?

This week’s show kicked off with Christian Cage defeating Dustin Rhodes to retain the TNT Championship.

Elsewhere on the show, with an assist from The Acclaimed, Bullet Club Gold defeated the Mogul Embassy to become the new Ring of Honor Six-Man Tag Team Champions. The Young Bucks also issued their new mission statement in a sit-down interview with Renee Paquette.

In women’s action, Deonna Purrazzo defeated Anna Jay as AEW Women’s World Champion Timeless Toni Storm did commentary at ringside.

In the main event of the show, Samoa Joe defeated HOOK to retain the AEW World Championship.
