Report: WWE To Start Adding Sports-Centric Elements Into Programming

WWE is reportedly set to start adding sports-like elements into their programming.

Per Mike Johnson of PWInsider, the talk at RAW on Monday and at WWE headquarters earlier this week was that the company will be incorporating some “sports-centric elements” into the programming. Per Johnson, Cody Rhodes’ interview on RAW was one example. It was noted that the interview was earlier in the day, and the clock listed the time on-screen.

The report notes that these were examples of the company aiming to root the product in stronger realism, and interviews will reflect this as well. There is no word on what other adjustments may be in store.

The reported change comes amid a buzzworthy week for WWE. The company announced that RAW will move to Netflix in 2025, and The Rock joined the TKO board of directors. Click here to see what Triple H had to say about this remarkable week.

WrestleZone will provide more information as it becomes available.
