STARDOM Celebrates 13-Year Anniversary

World Wonder Ring STARDOM commemorated their 13th Year Anniversary as a wrestling promotion on January 23.

While the company’s official anniversary was on the 23rd, STARDOM held a special show in Takadanobaba on January 21 to celebrate. The show featured a 13th Anniversary Tag Team Match featuring eight of STARDOM’s original roster members with Mayu Iwatani, Utami Hayashishita, Saya Kamitani, and Hanan teaming up against AZM, Starlight Kid, Saki Kashima, and Hazuki in which the prior team scored the victory. The show also featured Megan Bayne‘s final match in STARDOM before her return to the United States, as previously reported.

STARDOM’s Executive Producer Rossy Ogawa then shared his sentiments on the company’s anniversary event on his official Twitter. “The second day at Takadanobaba is the 13th anniversary of Stardom. The 8 original members showed off ‘Stardom’ to the fullest. And Megan’s final battle showed off her unchanging superhuman powers. The ring of Stardom discovered Megan. I promise to see you again. The world of professional wrestling is connected,” he says (translation made available via Google Translate).

On the actual date of their anniversary, STARDOM took to their English Twitter account to express their gratitude towards their loyal fans for the continuously growing support. “On January 23, 2011, Stardom was born. Today marks our 13th anniversary and we thank you for joining us for the ride. 2024 will see Stardom return to the United States, and so much more is coming! It will be a year to remember, and we thank you for your support,” they said.
