In-Ring Segment: CM Punk

Punk comes to the ring with his arm in a sling. A CM Punk chant breaks out. Punk stares at the WrestleMania sign before speaking. Punk says he came close Saturday night. He felt like he had it in the palm of his hand. He’s not mad. Punk takes a moment to congratulate Cody Rhodes on winning the Royal Rumble. He’s never believed in luck, but now he feels unlucky. During the Royal Rumble, he tore his triceps. He doesn’t want anyone to feel sorry for him, but maybe it’s not in the cards. Punk tells a story about his friend who has cancer and never lets it get him down, no matter what.

This is just a flash wound. Punk starts to get emotional. Punk puts over people who help others and says they are the real best in the world. This is a bump in the road. WrestleMania 40 isn’t in the cards, but there is always next year. Drew McIntyre’s music hits. Punk squares up. McIntyre says he’s said some terrible things about Punk. And he meant them. But he’s listening to Punk now and can relate to everything Punk says. McIntyre says he’s not spiritual, but he wants Punk to know that he prayed for Punk to get injured, and it happened. McIntyre slept like a baby when he heard about Punk’s injury.

He’s exercised the demon. McIntyre is going to WrestleMania, and he’s going to live Punk’s dream again. Punk gets in McIntyre’s face and says he will come back, and the first thing on his list is McIntyre. He’s coming for McIntyre. McIntyre takes a swing at Punk. Punk fights back and lands a bunch of punches. McIntyre takes Punk down and stomps on his torn triceps. Sami Zayn makes the save.

Backstage, The Judgement gets on the same page. Damian Priest and Rhea Ripley agree that there are no more distractions.

Undisputed Tag Team Championship Match: The Judgement Day (Finn Bálor and Damian Priest) vs. #DIY

Priest and Bálor work over Ciampa. Gargano gets a blind tag. Ciampa and Gargano double team Bálor. Bálor and Priest get sent out of the ring. Gargano and Ciampa land stereo dives and give themselves a round of applause. Priest tags in and drops Ciampa on the ring apron. Bálor and Priest take turns working over Ciampa. Ciampa manages to tag in Gargano. Gargano clears the ring. Bálor kicks out after a slingshot spear by Gargano. Bálor counters a tilt-a-whirl with the final cut. Ciampa kicks at two. Both teams trade near falls.

Gargano and Ciampa Meet in the Middle on Bálor. Priest pulls Bálor out of the ring. Gargano traps Bálor in the Gragano Escape. Ciampa locks Priest in the Sicilian Stretch. Priest lifts Ciampa and drops him on Gargano to break both submission holds. Priest tries to put Ciampa through the announce desk. Gargano breaks it up with a dive attempt, but Priest catches him and hits a flatliner on the desk. Priest hits Ciampa with a Razor’s Edge. Bálor leaps off the top and flattens Ciampa with the Coup de Gras for the win.

Winners and STILL WWE Tag Team Champions, The Judgement Day!

Dominik Mysterio and JD McDonagh run to the ring and hug Bálor and Priest. Priest grabs a mic and says they all owe R-Truth an apology. Priest calls Truth down to the ring. Truth joins The Judgement Day in the ring. Truth tells the crowd to rise for The Judgement Day. Priest tries to apologize, but Truth cuts him off with nonsense about liquidating his assets. Priest tells Truth he isn’t part of The Judgement Day, and he never was. The crowd boos. Priest says he thinks Truth is funny, and he likes him… and that’s why he isn’t going to be the one to do this. Priest walks away. Dominik, McDonagh, and Bálor attack Truth. The Miz tries to make the save but is quickly beaten down by The Judgement Day.

Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler vs. Chelsea Green and Piper Niven

Niven crushes Stark in the corner as soon as the bell rings. Stark fires back and tags in Baszler. Baszler takes Niven down and stops on her elbow. Niven tags in Green, who doesn’t want to come in the ring. Green sends Baszler over the top. Stark misses a dive. Baszler pulls Niven off the apron. Stark surprises Green with the Z360 for the win.

Winners- Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler

In-Ring Segment: 2023 and 2024 Men’s Royal Rumble Winner Cody Rhodes

The crowd is going nuts for Rhodes. A “You deserve it!” chant breaks out. Rhodes asks the Tampa Bay crowd what they want to talk about. Rhodes as Sammantha Irvin to announce him as the winner of the Royal Rumble match one more time. Irvin obliges. Rhodes soaks it in one more time. Rhodes says the crowd will never understand how much he needed them on Saturday. He wants to make WrestleMania 40 official, but Seth Rollins’ music hits before he can finish his thought. Rollins limps to the ring. Rhodes looks confused. Rollins congratulates Rhodes.

Rollins tells Rhodes if he challenges Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, Rhodes is making a mistake. Rollins thinks Rhodes should challenge him. Rhodes looks even more confused. Rollins puts himself over as THE GUY and the World Heavyweight Championship as the real-world title. Rollins asks Rhodes which title he wants. The one for posers and frauds and people who politic to get to the top? Or does he want the Dusty Rhodes title? The workhorse championship. Rollins tells Rhodes to think about it and asks him what kind of man he wants to be. Rhodes tells Rollins he’ll think about it.

Jey Uso vs. Bronson Reed

Jey lands a few strikes. Reed runs over Jey. Reed works over Jey. Jey trips Reed out of the ring. Jey lands a dive. Reed sends Jey into the ring post. Reed charges in, but Jey sidesteps, causing Reed to eat the ring post. After the break, Jey lands a flurry of punches. Reed kicks out of Jey’s top rope crossbody. Reed blocks a spin kick from Jey and lands a senton. Jey kicks out.

Jey surprises Reed with a superkick. Reed doesn’t go down. Jey lands another. Reed is still on his feet. Jey floors Reed with a leaping superkick. Reed still kicks out. Jey goes up top. Reed cuts him off. Jey knocks Reed off the top. Reed avoids the Uso Splash. Reed hits a DVD. Jey kicks out. Reed misses the Tsnamui—Superkick by Jey. Jey hits a spear. Jey pins Reed after the Uso Splash.

Winner- Jey Uso

Backstage, Becky Lynch says she will train harder and fight a little dirtier to bring the Women’s Championship back to the main event where it belongs.

Intercontinental Championship Match: Gunther (c) vs. Kofi Kingston

Kingston attacks as soon as the bell rings. Kingston avoids a chop. Backbreaker by Gunther. Gunther locks Kingston in a Boston crab. After the break, Gunther works over Kingston. Kingston fires up and tries a dive off the top. Gunther catches Kingston and hits another backbreaker. Gunther puts Kingston in another Boston crab. Kingston slowly makes it to the ropes. After the break, Kingston leaps into a sleeper hold. Gunther tries to transition to a powerbomb, but Kingston sends Gunther out of the ring with a rana. Kingston tries a dive and gets sent into the apron.

Gunther tries another powerbomb. Kingston counters with another rana. Kingston lands multiple dives. Gunther tries to cut Kingston off with a chop, but Kington blasts him with Trouble in Paradise. Gunther rolls out of the ring before Kingston can pin him. Kingston follows Gunther outside. Kingston sends Gunther into the ring steps. Gunther is draped across the steps. Kingston lands a diving elbow drop. Kingston sends Gunther back into the ring. Boom drop off the top. Gunther kicks out! Gunther blocks Trouble in Paradise. Clothesline by Gunther. Kingston surprises Gunther with the SOS. Gunther kicks out and lands a lariat. Gunther hits a powerbomb hold for the win.

Winner and STILL Intercontinental Champion, Gunther!

Xavier Woods check on Kingston. Kaiser and Vinci attack Woods and Kingston. Kingston and Woods are left lying.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions The Kabuki Warriors vs. Tegan Nox and Natalya

Nox and Natalya double team Sane. Sane kicks out after a basement dropkick from Natalya. Sanes fires back and tags in Asuka. Asuka gets sent into the turnbuckle. Nox tags in and lands a flurry of strikes. Roaring European uppercut by Nox. Asuka falls into the corner. Cannonball by Nox. Natalya and Nox lands stereo boots to Sane and Asuka. After the break, Sane and Asuka hit their finish for the win.

Winners- The Kabuki Warriors

Backstage, Kitana Chance and Kayden Carter announce they have a rematch for tag titles next week.

In-Ring Segment: 2024 Women’s Royal Rumble Winner Bayley w/Damage CTRL

Bayley says he was right and everyone else was wrong. She put together Damage CTRL and look at them now. They are draped in gold, and she may not have been on the poster for the Royal Rumble, but she outlasted 29 other women and beat Rhea Ripley’s rumble record in the process. Rhea Ripley interrupts. Ripley tells Bayley she’s accomplished nothing. Nia Jax attacks Ripley from behind. The fight spills into the ring.

Jax leg drops Ripley repeatedly—annihilator by Jax. The rest of Damage CTRL leaves Bayley in the ring with Jax. Jax gets in Bayley’s face and tells her she should pick Iyo Sky and the WWE Women’s Championship because Rhea Ripley isn’t going to make it to WrestleMania. Sky is outside the ring but close to the conversation. Bayley shakes as she tells Jax she will make her decision on SmackDown. Sky doesn’t look happy.

Sami Zayn vs. Drew McIntyre

Zayn and McIntyre trade shots. Zayn sends McIntyre out of the ring. McIntyre catches Zayn as he tries a dive. McIntyre chucks Zayn over the announce desk. Zayn is almost counted out but breaks the count. McIntyre gets caught up, jawing at McAfee at the announce desk. Zayn surprises McIntyre with a dive. After the break, McIntyre is working over Zayn. Zayn fires up and manages a sunset bomb for a near fall. Rope walk DDT by Zayn. McIntyre kicks out.

McIntyre and Zayn trade big moves and pin attempts. Zayn tries the Helluva Kick and gets clotheslines by McIntyre. Zayn reverses the Claymore with a blue thunder bomb. McIntyre kicks out. McIntyre hits white noise off the top. Zayn kicks out. Zayn tries a surprise Helluva Kick, but McIntyre drops down and covers up, inadvertently low-blowing Zayn. When McIntyre realizes what happened, he immediately hits the Claymore for the win.
