Rhea Ripley Hopes Bayley Doesn’t Challenge Her At WrestleMania 40

If there is one star who capitalized on the opportunity given to her during the Royal Rumble match to the fullest, it’s Rhea Ripley. But what does she think about the star that won this year’s Rumble, Bayley?

Recently, the Eradicator was present at the red carpet event of Bianca Belair and Montez Ford’s reality show Love & WWE. During the red carpet, Denise Salcedo caught up with Rhea Ripley. The current WWE Women’s World Heavyweight Champion shared her thoughts on Bayley winning the Women’s Royal Rumble.

While The Eradicator loves the leader of Damage CTRL, she doesn’t want her to face her at WrestleMania 40. Ripley rather wants Bayley to challenge IYO SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship.

“And then, Bayley taking the dub you know… I mean… I love Bayley, I love Bayley, I think she’s great. I’ve danced with her in the ring a couple times and we’ve teamed together with War Games and all that. I want to say that she has love for me too. And she wouldn’t choose me for WrestleMania and just throw away her ticket to WrestleMania like that. If I were her, I would keep my eyes on the people around her. Because, it’s good to keep your friends close, but keep your enemies closer,” Rhea Ripley said.

Bayley will make her decision on the February 2 episode of SmackDown.

Rhea Ripley is proud of Her Women’s Division

During the same interview, Ripley mentioned that she is proud of her women’s division and welcomes the competition.

This year fans saw a lot of top talents make their WWE debut. Stars such as Jordynne Grace and Jade Cargill showed off what they were made of. Former SmackDown Women’s Champion Naomi also made her return and proved to be an Iron Woman in the match.

“Yeah, I mean… It was surprise after surprise after surprise. And I was just standing there watching it, and I’m like, ‘Yo! All of these women! They are competitors. I could easily step into the ring with any one of them. And you would think that I’m in danger. And I love that. That’s a way that the women’s division is thriving and it’s all about competition. I live for that. So I was so over the moon and thrilled to see these women going in there and getting their opportunity to shine. And then watching the whole thing like, everyone did so exceptionally well. And I’m proud of our division. We really showed everyone what we’ve got. And I’m very proud of them.”

Will Rhea Ripley be able to retain her championship at WrestleMania 40?
