Larry David Stopped Watching Wrestling When He Realized It Was Fixed

Larry David used to watch wrestling, but he stopped when he realized it was fixed.

Speaking on The Bill Simmons Podcast, Vince McMahon came up in the conversation. The Curb Your Enthusiasm star then explained why he stopped watching wrestling.

“You watch wrestling? What is that? What is this with you and wrestling?” Larry David said. “I watched it when I was a kid too, and then I realized it was fixed, and I stopped watching.

Bill Simmons noted that wrestling was performance, and he didn’t think it was real.

“They’re all the same, aren’t they? Every match looks the same,” David said.

When Simmons replied by saying there was art to the storytelling, David emphasized that the fans at the shows think wrestling is real.

“You’re watching this thing. You know it’s not fixed, but the people who are there, they think it’s real,” David said. “They do. Are you kidding? They go crazy. They wouldn’t go crazy if they thought it was real. It’s remarkable.”

Simmons asked Larry David if he would watch his Vince McMahon docuseries, and he seemingly agreed to at least watch one episode.
