AEW Rampage Results (2/23/24): Private Party, Top Flight, More In Action

All Elite Wrestling delivered an action-packed show with the February 23 episode of AEW Rampage.

Tonight, Roderick Strong will face Jake Hager. Hager made the save when Strong, Matt Taven, and Mike Bennett attacked AEW International Champion Orange Cassidy on Wednesday.

Plus, the Young Bucks (Matthew and Nicholas Jackson) will be in action, and fans will hear from Sammy Guevara. Additionally, Penta El Zero Miedo, Komander, and Bryan Keith will face Top Flight and Action Andretti and Private Party and Matt Sydal in trios action.

The results are as follows:

Match 1: Bryan Keith, Penta El Zero Miedo, and Komander defeat Top Flight, Action Andretti, Matt Sydal, and Private Party via pinfall

Things came to an end after Komander dove out and over the ropes, clearing out a massive brawl that was taking place outside. Inside the ring, Penta hit Sydal with the Fear Factor, and with no one there to help, Penta pinned him for the win.

Match 2: Matthew & Nicholas Jackson defeat Jonny Lyons & Cappuccino Jones

This one was pretty much over instantly, and the Young Bucks walked out on top with a Tohny Khan Driver for the win. After the match, they demanded Tony Schiavone come down to the ring, and gave him a $25 Amazon gift card as an apology for what they did a couple of weeks ago. They wouldn’t take back their $1,000 fine, though, and said that they will end Sting’s career at Revolution.

In-ring segment: Sammy Guevara

In the ring, Schiavone interviewed Guevara, who talked about how Powerhouse Hobbs ruined his moment of savoring a win over his hero, Jeff Hardy. He then called out Hobbs, but Don Callis came out instead. While the two talked trash, Hobbs attempted to sneak up on Guevara.

Sammy caught it though, and attacked Hobbs with a big splash and a steel chair. Unfortunately for Guevara, though, he couldn’t do much else, and Hobbs eventually hit a few spinebusters and then a massive slam to end the segment.

Match 3: Mariah May defeats Anna Jay via pinfall

This one ended relatively quickly. May and Jay went back and forth for a few minutes, but eventually May hit her finisher on Jay after biting out of a chokehold attempt for the pin and win.

Backstage segment: Ruby Soho

Renee Paquette interviewed Soho and Angelo Parker, who said that their date went great. Ruby reflected on her ongoing feud with Saraya, and didn’t like that she talked trash about Parker. The segment ended with Parker taking Soho on another date.

Match 4: Roderick Strong defeats Jake Hager via pinfall

Strong walked out on top taking advantage of Orange Cassidy’s interference help. OC distracted the referee and allowed Strong to break out of a submission by Hager. Afterward, Strong then hit a big rising knee strike for the pin and win.
