In-Ring Segment: 2023 and 2024 Royal Rumble Winner Cody Rhodes

Rhodes asks San Antonio what they want to talk about. Rhodes notes that at WrestleMania 40, he will be standing face-to-face with the greatest WWE Champion of all time, Roman Reigns. Well, he’d like to talk about that, but he’s faced with a distraction on his road to WrestleMania: The Rock. Last week, The Rock posted a 16-minute video, then deleted that and posted a 21-minute director cut. The Rock calls the crowd meth heads, and he talks about Rhodes’ dog. Rhodes turns to the camera and emphatically tells The Rock never to talk about his dog. The Rock said a lot on SmackDown, but the one thing he downplayed is the fact that he declined Rhodes’ challenge.

Rhodes confirms what The Rock said to him before trying to steal his main event. The Rock told Rhodes that no one wants to see him face Roman Reigns; the people want to see The Rock vs. Roman Reigns. The fans felt otherwise when the people started chanting, “We want Cody!” Rhodes notes that The Rock proposed an alternative that also includes… his friend… Rhodes pauses and says he thinks he can call this man his friend, Seth “Freakin” Rollins. Rollins’ music hits and he shimmys his way to the ring. The crowd roars as Rollins joins Rhodes in the ring.

With The Rock in The Bloodline, Reigns is inches away from having absolute power. Rollins is over The Rock at this point. A “Rocky sucks” chant breaks out.

The Rock hasn’t been The Rock or the People’s Champion in a long time. Rollins isn’t going to bother calling The Rock any of those names again. From here on out, Rollins is going to refer to The Rock as “Diarriah Dwayne.” Rollins notes that Diarriah Dwayne promised to take make sure Rollins loses his title if he sticks his nose in Bloodline business. Rollins turns to the camera and tells The Rock he would like to see him try. Rhodes pops for that. Rollins announces that, as of today, he is 100% medically cleared and asks Rhodes if he has HIS back. Rhodes nods. Rhodes says they are going to go to SmackDown this week and give The Rock his obvious answer face-to-face.
