Gin Sevani Pursuing Her Mortuary Science Degree: ‘Death Can Be Very Beautiful’

Gin Sevani discusses her academic future.

As she continues to make strides in the professional wrestling business, Gin Sevani is also moving forth in the pursuit of her mortuary science degree. During a recent interview with WrestleZone’s Ella Jay, Sevani opened up about her academic journey, highlighting her future career goals, as well as her fascination with this particular field.

“I actually don’t know when I became interested in mortuary science,” Sevani said. “It’s one of those things where I believe you can find beauty in a lot of things that others find to be negative, so to speak. But I find that death can be very beautiful. It also doesn’t always have to be this terrible thing. Obviously, it’s inevitable. And if I can make somebody’s life a little easier by helping them in their loved ones, that’s beautiful to me. So I can make such a rough time, not so rough.”

Career Goals

Currently, Sevani’s schoolwork remains a part-time affair, as she aims to elevate professional wrestling to her full-time job. However, upon the completion of her mortuary science degree, Sevani is eager to create a schedule similar to WWE Hall of Famer Paul Bearer, who simultaneously served as a funeral director and on-screen wrestling manager.

“I do want to be an embalmer. I also want to work on my own schedule, kind of like Paul Bearer. He also kind of did it, but also was able to do wrestling,” Sevani said. “And I know it’s easier said than done nowadays, but I hope to have my own business and be able to travel to different locations and help kind of be on call, so to speak. Definitely something along the lines of that. And if I ever decide to stick to one place, then I’ll know for sure that’s my place. But [I’m] definitely [interested in] freelancing.”
