Nic Nemeth vs. Moose, Tag Title Match Set For TNA Rebellion PPV

TNA Wrestling announced two new matches set to take place at its Rebellion pay per view.

The company’s next big event is TNA Rebellion 2024. It takes place at The Palms in Las Vegas on April 20, and features some huge matches already announced.

The first of the two matches revealed for the show is the TNA World Championship bout.

This match sees Nic Nemeth taking on champion Moose in a huge main event match. This was announced on Twitter, following the end of TNA Impact! this week.

Nemeth made his debut TNA at the end of Hard to Kill event on January 13, laying out Moose shortly after he defeated Alex Shelley to become the new World Champion.

He has wrestled four times for the company since debuting in January. He beat former Champion Steve Maclin at TNA Sacrifice 2024, which shows how highly he is rated by TNA management.

Nic Nemeth vs Moose will be a first-time match for TNA. Nemeth spent the bulk of his career in WWE as Dolph Ziggler, while Moose has been with TNA for years.

This bout is expected to be the main event of TNA Rebellion, which comes to Las Vegas next month.

The Tag Team Titles Are Also On The Line At TNA Rebellion

As well as the world title, the TNA Tag Team titles will also be on the line at the PPV.

Champions The System (Eddie Edwards and Brian Myers) will team up to face Mike Bailey and Trent Seven. The pair are also known as Speedball Mountain.

The System, which includes Moose, recently attack both Nemeth and Speedball Mountain following a trios match on TNA Impact.

This set up the two title matches, both of which were announced on Twitter by the company.

The current card for TNA Rebellion 2024 is:

  • TNA World Championship: Moose vs Nic Nemeth
  • TNA World Tag Team Championships: The System vs Speedball Mountain

Moose recently spoke with WrestleZone Managing Editor Bill Pritchard. When asked what he thinks Nic Nemeth brings to TNA, Moose said he believes Nemeth brings a huge fanbase with him to the company.

“Nic Nemeth brings a huge fanbase in. He is a huge star in professional wrestling,” Moose said. “I am happy he chose us to come to, to kind of rebrand himself. But I think he picked the wrong guy to make an impact with. And like I’ve said in other interviews I’ve done, I have nothing but the utmost respect for what Nic brings to the table, but with that being said when I’m done with what I have in front of me, and I have the time to spare, I will deal with what Nic Nemeth did.

Moose has a lot of respect for Nic Nemeth

Nemeth marked his TNA debut by upstaging Moose at TNA Hard To Kill. The pair haven’t squared off yet; Moose said he’s focused on current issues and would deal with Nemeth in time.

“Like I said, I’m happy he’s part of TNA. I’m happy he’s part of our roster, but he still has to pay for what he did when the time comes. I have the utmost respect for what he brings to the table and his talent because he’s a hell of an entertainer and a hell of a pro wrestler, so I’m looking forward to some of the matches he puts on for our fans.

“I’ve been a big fan of his for years. So like I said, I’m glad he’s part of the company, but with that being said, when I’m done with the things I have to do and the timing is right, then he will pay for what he did.”
