Bayley peels back the curtain ahead of WWE WrestleMania 40.
In a tweet, Bayley shared a picture of a text message to Io Shirai, now known as IYO SKY, from March 2022. She noted that she wanted to pitch an idea that involved Io and asked whether she would be interested. Shirai expressed her excitement about the potential idea, and the rest is history.
In the post, Bayley noted that WWE WrestleMania 40 is in two weeks. She will challenge SKY for the WWE Women’s Championship at the show. “The Role Model” won the Royal Rumble, and Damage CTRL subsequently turned on her. She chose to challenge SKY for the gold at WrestleMania 40.
