WWE Clash At The Castle 2024 Will Take Place In Glasgow, Scotland

WWE is bringing a PLE to Scotland for the very first time with Clash at the Castle.

The company announced today that Clash at the Castle will return. The event is set to take place at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, Scotland on June 15th, 2024.

The event is WWE’s third show announced for Europe this year. Backlash is taking place in Paris, France, while Germany will host Bash In Berlin later this year. It will be a chance for WWE to focus some of its Scottish talent, with Drew McIntyre, Piper Niven and Nikki likely to appear.

It follows the success of 2022’s Clash at the Castle event in Cardiff, Wales. The event was WWE’s first stadium show in the UK in 30 years, drawing over 60,000 fans to the Welsh capital.

While Drew McIntyre was unsuccessful in Cardiff, fans will hope that he can walk out a winner in Scotland this year.

WWE Announced Clash At The Castle In Glasgow With A Press Release

In the official press release from WWE, they said:

“We are excited to bring both Friday Night SmackDown and Clash At The CastleScotland to our amazing fans in Scotland at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow this June,” said WWE President Nick Khan. “The world will see that this is one of the UK’s best venues and Scottish crowds are some of the loudest, craziest and most passionate on the planet.”

“The announcement follows the record-setting Clash At the Castle which took place at Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, in September 2022. At the time, the event became the most-viewed and highest-rated international Premium Live Event in company history.”

“Scotland is home to several WWE Superstars including Drew McIntyre, Alba Fyre, Isla Dawn, Piper Niven, Nikki Cross, Joe Coffey, Mark Coffey, Wolfgang and Noam Dar.”

The event is taking place at the OVO Hydro Arena in Glasgow, Scotland. This holds around 15,000 fans, and is much smaller than Cardiff’s Millenniu, Stadium. As such, it will have a much smaller crowd than the previous Clash at the Castle event. The crowd will be more like last year’s Money in the Bank in London.
