AEW Rampage Viewership Increases On 5/1, Demo Also Rises

AEW Rampage saw an increase in viewership on May 1 with a shift to Wednesday night.

According to Wrestlenomics, 431,000 viewers watched the show on Wednesday night, drawing a 0.15 rating in the 18 to 49 demographic. The viewership is up from last week’s episode, when 293,000 viewers tuned in. The demo also rose from last week‘s episode, which drew a 0.09 rating in the same demographic.

What happened on AEW Rampage this week?

This week’s show kicked off with the aftermath of the attack on Kenny Omega by The Elite from AEW Dynamite. FTR was attacked backstage as they tried to help get Omega to an ambulance, and The Elite tipped over Omega’s stretcher, dropping him to the floor.

Elsewhere on the show, Kyle O’Reilly defeated Rocky Romero, and Jay White defeated Dante Martin.

Swerve Strickland responded to being attacked by Christian Cage on Dynamite by saying they would have a face-to-face next week and teasing that he isn’t coming alone.

In the main event, TBS Champion Willow Nightingale defeated Skye Blue in a Manitoba Massacre match to close the show.
