Jey Uso Talks Carrying The Legacy Of The Bloodline And Forging His Own Path

Jey Uso discusses his journey in WWE, as he has had to carry on the legacy of The Bloodline while carving out his own path.

Jey Uso and Jimmy Uso had an excellent run as a tag team, and Jey has continued to shine as a singles star.

Speaking with Tim Battle and Eli on the Battleground Podcast, Jey Uso was asked to discuss balancing carrying the legacy of The Bloodline while forging his own path.

“It’s way easier now than it was almost 15 years ago because coming in as a tag team with my brother that long ago, we’ve always had that in our vision, how can we separate us from our whole damn family?” Jey Uso said. “Because everyone was stars. They’re just huge stars, and it got kind of overwhelming. But like I said, we just stick to the grind, and it’ll just happen. This isn’t a sprint, Uce. It’s a marathon for sure, and I feel like if you put the work in here and you just stick to it, things will naturally unfold for you.

“You’re trying to make something happen, but it’s happening already, and you don’t even know it’s happening. You just be you, bro. So I’m so glad I’m finally on the other side now, I feel like. Because now you can separate. This is Rikishi, Yokozuna, Umaga, Roman Reigns. Now this is Jey Uso. This is Jimmy Uso, this is Solo Sikoa. Man, sometimes, I’m like, it’s cool being a part of this family because I’m still kind of a fan girl for my own people.”
