Jessica Troy Explains Why Upcoming Title Match With Delta Is ‘Bittersweet’

Jessica Troy thinks her upcoming historic title match with DELTA will be “bittersweet”.

The Australian is the current PWA World Champion, and the first woman to hold the belt. She has held the the belt for 230 days, since winning it from Ricky South in October last year.

In what will be her fourth title defence, Jessica Troy will defend her PWA World Title against DELTA. This match will take place at PWA’s King of the Metro on June 14th in Sydney, Australia, and will be the first time a world heavyweight title will be defended between two female wrestlers in Australia.

In the build up to the event, Jessica Troy spoke with Fightful’s Corey Brennan in a recent interview. She revealed that the match willl be “bittersweet”, although she is still excited for it.

The bittersweet feeling is because of rumors that DELTA will be signing for the WWE soon, following an impressive NXT tryout.

“It’s pretty special to be entrusted with the PWA Heavyweight Championship, and i’m really excited to get in the ring with DELTA again. So we have our King Of The Metro on the 14th of June. DELTA and I haven’t got to have any singles in Sydney before, so we’ve wrestled lots in Melbourne, but i’m excited to see what we can do in front of my hometown crowd. Yeah, it is definitely giving off that bittersweet vibe.”

“I’m really excited for it because she’s just also the best person ever. So I’m happy to see any kind of success she can get anywhere. It just warms my heart and she’s also really fun to be in the ring with. So I’m going to miss that. But I’m also really excited to see what we can pull off. in a couple of weeks time. Hopefully it’s good yeah but it will be a bit of a bittersweet moment, yeah. Hopefully she doesn’t beat me up too bad either.”
