When will AJ Styles return to WWE programming?
While AJ Styles has competed for WWE during the company’s recent tour of Japan, The Phenomenal One hasn’t been on WWE programming since his loss to Cody Rhodes at Clash at the Castle on June 15. So when will Styles be back on SmackDown?
According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Styles was initially scheduled for the August 9 episode of SmackDown. Despite that, Styles wasn’t present backstage at last night’s show. This was a WWE decision as they believe last night wasn’t the right night to bring Styles back to television.
Johnson states that the plan is still to reinsert him into storylines ahead of WWE Bash in Berlin at the end of this month. The expectation is that Styles will be back on SmackDown shortly.
