CM Punk says WWE Bash in Berlin was the end of his feud with Drew McIntyre, and he wants the gold.
Punk finally scored some revenge at WWE Bash in Berlin. There, he defeated Drew McIntyre in a Strap Match. McIntyre previously beat Punk at WWE SummerSlam, so the victory evened the score.
After the match, Punk commented on his win.
“That’s definitely the end of me and Drew McIntyre,” CM Punk said. “What’s next for me is, I’m gonna take a long, hot shower, gonna try to find some doughnuts, and I got myself a main event to watch because I’m very interested in the results. Gunther versus Randy Orton, and some people like to say, ‘May the best man win.’ In this case, may the best man win because the better man is coming for you. I want the gold. I’m coming for you.”
CM Punk On Beating Drew McIntyre
In a digital exclusive after his match at WWE Bash in Berlin, Punk discussed defeating Drew McIntyre.
“It feels good. I think a big deal’s been made out of this, but it was really about the disrespect to my dog and my wife, and I plan on going home and giving my dog and my wife a big hug and a kiss,” Punk said. “Maybe not in that order, but probably in that order, and move on to bigger and better things.”
Punk was also asked to comment on what scoring his first televised win since his return to WWE meant to him.
“It means a lot to me, and I look at the miles ahead, not the miles behind,” CM Punk said. “I still got a lot of work to do. But coming back eight months ago, getting put on the shelf for six of those months, and finally coming back and feeling 100%, getting my confidence back and getting a W is gonna go a long way. So I’m excited for Monday Night Raw, and I’m excited for the future. Coming here to Germany and wrestling in front of the people in Berlin is a dream come true that I never thought I would experience again, so it’s been a fun trip.”
WrestleZone will have coverage of WWE RAW as it airs on Monday.
