Mercedes Moné has two big title matches ahead
Mercedes Moné is set to defend the NJPW STRONG Women’s Championship in a three-way with AZM and Mina Shirakawa. That match will take place at NJPW Resurgence on May 9 in Ontario, California. Following that, Moné and Jamie Hayter will face off in the Women’s Owen Hart Foundation Cup Tournament Final at AEW Double Or Nothing on May 25 in Glendale, Arizona.
This week’s episode of AEW Dynamite saw Moné take part in a sit-down interview with Renee Paquette. The pair hyped Moné’s match with Hayter at Double or Nothing. Moné mocked Hayter’s “Scooby Doo style” (and her current resemblance to Scooby character Daphne Blake) and says a champion can’t look like a cartoon character.
