Red Velvet Breaks Her Silence To Comment On Injury Status

Red Velvet will not be cleared to compete this Friday at the Ring of Honor Supercard of Honor event.

This news was broken yesterday by All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan on the All In: Texas Media Call. While Velvet won’t be stripped of her title, an interim champion will be crowned this Friday. An eventual title unification match will take place once Velvet returns to action.

Red Velvet took to social media late Tuesday evening following the media call to address the injury and what’s next for her, tweeting out:

“Not the news I wanted to share. I won’t be cleared to compete at Supercard of Honor due to injury. Don’t get it twisted this is just a pause, not the end. To the new Interim ROH Women’s TV Champ congrats in advance. Hold it down, because when I come back? I’m coming for it ALL,” Red Velvet said in a post.

As of this writing, it’s unknown who will be competing for the Interim Championship this Friday night.

On behalf of everyone at WrestleZone, we wish Red Velvet a quick and painless recovery.
