This was a fantastic opener. These three women made sure night two of SummerSlam kicked off the right way. I’d put it right up there with the triple threat that took place at WrestleMania that involved Bianca Belair. It was that good. We’re off to a great start tonight, folks!
TLC legends are in attendance
The Hardy Boyz and the Dudley Boyz are shown in the crowd for tonight’s TLC match.

Holy cow! That match was insane! If you love matches with insane spots and plunder, this match was absolutely booked specifically for you! This was extremely entertaining, and thus far, night two of SummerSlam is on fire! Let’s keep the momentum going!

For some reason, the crowd didn’t seem to care about this one for a good portion of the matchup, but I certainly enjoyed it. I’m admittedly not the biggest fan of Valkyria, but I thought this was a very good match, even though it probably went a bit too long. Lynch made her opponent look like a million dollars. But it seems based on the crowd’s reaction, they are ready for this feud to end. Luckily, with Lynch winning this match, this should mean both women are moving on to other things.
Steel Cage match for the WWE United States Championship: Solo Sikoa (c) vs. Jacob Fatu
- The finish of the match saw Solo Sikoa escape through the cage door with the help of Talla Tonga.
Winner: And still WWE United States Champion, Solo Sikoa
After the match, Fatu and Uso get revenge on the MFTs, and Fatu jumps off the top of the cage with a moonsault onto Tonga Loa and JC Mateo.

An overbooked mess. Sometimes less is more, but this match wasn’t it. A Jacob Fatu victory here should have been a no-brainer, but instead, we got that mess. Not great…
WWE Intercontinental Championship: Dominik Mysterio (c) vs. AJ Styles
- The finish of the match saw Dominik Mysterio hit AJ Styles with his boot, followed by a Frog Splash to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: And still WWE Intercontinental Champion, Dominik Mysterio

This was a definite step up from the steel cage match. I think it would have benefited from having more time, but it wasn’t meant to be. Lots of tributes to Eddie Guerrero tonight, and I’m always in support of that.
Street Fight for the Undisputed WWE Championship: John Cena (c) vs. Cody Rhodes
- The finish of the match saw Cody Rhodes hit John Cena with Cross Rhodes to score the pinfall victory.
Winner: And NEW Undisputed WWE Champion, Cody Rhodes

After the match, Cena hands the title to Rhodes and says something in his ear that makes him cry. Cena raises Rhodes’ hand, and the pyro goes off. Rhodes leaves the ring to Cena. The crowd chants, “Thank you, Cena.” Just as WWE SummerSlam goes off the air, Brock Lesnar makes a shocking return to the company. Lesnar hits Cena with an F-5 as SummerSlam goes off the air for real.

WWE SummerSlam Night Two Review:
This show started incredibly strong. The crowd kinda tapered off a bit for Lynch and Valkyria, but I still enjoyed the match. The cage match should have been a slam dunk, but turned into an overbooked mess. Styles and Dom got things back on track, and then the main event exceeded every single one of my expectations. They didn’t overbook it, and they just let things stand on their own. They also delivered a SHOCKING post-match segment with Lesnar that no one saw coming… Well done!
