Hulk Hogan is set to be honored at this weekend’s NASCAR race in upstate New York.
TMZ is reporting that NASCAR driver Ricky Stenhouse Jr.’s team will bring back its Real American Beer paint job. The special-themed car will be in this weekend’s race in Watkins Glen, New York. In addition to the red, white and blue paint scheme, Stenhouse’s No. 47 car will also feature a “Hulkamania Forever” decal, complete with an image of Hogan tearing his yellow tank top off.
Stenhouse Jr. and Real American Beer previously teamed up to sponsor his car. Stenhouse Jr. drove a RAB car for in a June race at Michigan International Speedway. Real American beer co-founder Chad Bronstein issued a statement to TMZ about the latest partnership. He said they are happy to honor the legacy of Hogan, who said that auto racing was “core to the brand’s identity.”
“Hulk built Hulkamania and Real American Beer with strength, pride and resilience — for the fans, for their communities, for our country,” Bronstein said. “Real American Beer is here to carry on Hulk’s legacy. We’re grateful to Hyak for helping us honor him and carry his commitment to his fans forward.”
Hulk Hogan passed away at age 71 on July 24. His official cause of death was recently revealed. The report also shared that he had a history of atrial fibrillation (AFib), a heart condition, as well as Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia, a type of cancer that affects lymphocyte white blood cells.
