AEW Star Announces They’ve Signed A New Two-Year Deal With The Company

It certainly seems AEW is in the process of extending the contracts of a lot of its talent.

Last night on Dynamite, it was announced that Kenny Omega and Kota Ibushi would be returning to action for at Forbidden Door in a Lights Out Steel Cage match. Neither man has been seen on AEW programming since All In: Texas. But now one of them has signed a contract extension with the company.

Kota Ibushi took to his Instagram page this morning to announce that he’s signed a two-year deal to remain with All Elite Wrestling, posting:

“This was amazing!! ️The crossroads of life. I was never born to ride a private jet! And I signed a 2 year re-signment *pen emoji* I still want to live but I have to live. I can’t imagine being in pro wrestling until I’m 45. What more do you want? I don’t know.

“I have a dream to live and live this kind of pro wrestling! Back in the day when I was little.

Just not just good 99% hell you won’t get there. How tough that 99% hell is was far above imagination. From training and daily living. Just don’t look down. Up the top. Still not enough not like this!! ️ from now on,” Kota Ibushi said in a post.

Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information on Kota Ibushi’s new deal with AEW as it becomes available.
