It sounds like CM Punk is taking a more pragmatic approach to his current run in WWE.
Punk was a guest on Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take. During the conversation, Punk was asked if he’s loving WWE right now, or if there’s part of him that feels like things can take a turn.
“Oh always. [laughs] I’m an eternal doomsayer. I try not to be now, I try to live in the moment, and yeah, I’ve really got nothing bad to say. But there’s peaks and valleys to everything,” CM Punk explained. “Everything’s been so hot that there’s part of me that’s like, ‘Man, when does the bottom fall out of this?’, you know?”
Punk continued, explaining that things can’t always be the best because it’s not how life works. However, he’s just trying to take things as they come and enjoy it more.
“It’s just a natural progression of things,” Punk added. “Things can’t always be [raises arm above his head] here. If things are always ‘here,’ [it creates a false sense]. Ehh… you expect it, you can’t enjoy it. You’ve got to take the lows with the highs.”
During the show, CM Punk also opened up about working with Seth Rollins, who seems to have had real-life animosity with him in recent year. Punk said they might not like each other, but they are still both professional and find a way to work with each other for the business.
