Our WWE Crown Jewel results for tonight include Roman Reigns battling Bronson Reed in an Australian Street Fight, Rhea Ripley and Iyo Sky teaming up to take on The Kabuki Warriors, John Cena clashes with long-time rival AJ Styles, Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer and WWE Women’s champion Tiffany Stratton facing off for the Women’s Crown Jewel Championship, and Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes taking on World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins for the Men’s Crown Jewel Championship. Here’s our review and grades for tonight’s show, live from the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, Australia.

Australian Street Fight: Roman Reigns vs. Bronson Reed w/Paul Heyman
Reigns unloads on Reed with punches. Reed tries to cover up, but Reigns drives him into the corner for even more punches. Reigns sends Reed over the top with a nasty clothesline. Reed stumbles to the barricade and eats an uppercut that sends him into the crowd. Reigns follows and the two trade shots through the crowd. As the fight makes it back to ringside. Reigns grabs a trash can with… Stuff in it. Reigns pulls a football out of the can and tosses it at Heyman at ringside. Reigns beats Reed with a cricket bat. Reed runs over Reigns. Reed lands a few shots with a kendo stick before losing it to Reigns. Reigns hits a home run on Reed’s gut. The crowd chants for tables.

In the middle of beating down Reed, Reigns grabs a mic and tells the crowd that if they want tables, then acknowledge him. The crowd does. As Reigns is grabbing a table. Reed clobbers Reigns from behind. Reed puts the table back under the ring and whines about this being his home. An angry Reed runs the steel ring steps into Reigns’ face. Reed beats Reigns with a chair. Reed is focused on the Reigns’ ribs, which Reed injured weeks ago. Reigns counters Reed and manages to drop Reed on a chair via a Samoan drop… That chair had a family, damnit! Reigns gets caught in the air, and Reed lands the Jagged Edge. Reigns kicks out.
The Finish
Reed wacks Reigns with a stop sign. Reigns tries to fire back, but Reed drops him with a uranage on the stop sign. Reigns kicks at two. Superman punch by Reigns. Reed kicks out. Reigns calls for the Spear. Reed hightails it out of the ring to avoid it. Reigns sets up a Spear outside the ring. While Reigns charges in, Bron Breakker hops the barricade and Spears Reigns! Reed and Breakker trigger Reigns’s PTSD by putting him through the table with a SHEILD-style Cerberus Bomb.
As Reed sets up a table in the ring, Jimmy and Jey Uso hit the ring and take out Breaker and double-team Reed. Breakker walks into a 1D by the Usos. The Usos go up top. Reed breaks it up. Breakker press slams Jey into a gutbuster. Breakker puts Jimmy through the barricade with a Spear. Reed goes up top. Reigns knocks Reed off the top with a Superman Punch. Jey accidentally Spears Reigns through a table. When Jey realizes what he did just in time to get Speared by Breakker. Reed crushes Reigns with a Tsnamui for the win!
Winner- Bronson Reed
After the match, Reigns goes off Jimmy and Jey. Reigns says the world thinks he can’t do this on his own; that’s why he didn’t want them out there tonight. Reigns tells them he loves them both, but doesn’t want to see them until Christmas, and leaves. As Reigns mutters to himself as he walks up the ramp. Jey storms off on Jimmy, complaining about Reigns always being Reigns and nothing ever changing.
Grade: B
We may be back up. This match felt like a big deal PLE match. Reigns started this one a house of fire. Reed attempted to murder Reigns several times over the last few months, so this had to start hot. Reigns looked great out there, and once Reed took over, he owned Reigns. This one devolved into a mess with all of the interference in the end, but it was needed to get to whatever is about to happen next between Reigns and the Usos.
Reigns has never reacted the way he did after Jey cost him this match. Is this another manipulation? Or is Reigns a different man, trying to do things a better way? Exciting stuff here, and Reed got the biggest win of his career today that can’t go unmentioned, as a victory of the forever champion is massive.
Women’s Crown Jewel Championship Match: Stephanie Vaquer (c) vs. Tiffany Stratton (c)
Vaquer and Stratton trade submission and pin attempts, leading to a stalemate. Stratton offers Vaquer a handshake. Vaquer tries to sneak a boot in, but Stratton catches it. Stratton sends Vaquer into the corner. Vaquer avoids a handspring attack from Stratton. Leg drop by Vaquer. Stratton kicks out. Vaquer traps Stratton in a standing STF. Stratton fights out of it and lands a suplex. Stratton fires up and lands her handspring elbow. Cartwheel Alabama slam by Stratton. Vaquer kicks out.
Stratton gets trapped in the corner. Vaquer obliterates Stratton with a rope hang dragon screw. Bullet train attack by Vaquer. Vaquer goes up top. Stratton cuts Vaquer off. Vaquer misses a springboard. Stratton blasts Vaquer with a suplex into a backbreaker. Stratton goes up top. Vaquer cuts Stratton off and lands a suplex. Stratton counters the Devil’s Kiss with a big boot. Stratton attempts a Swanton, but Vaquer gets her knees up. Before hitting the Devil’s Kiss, Vaquer points to the sky and does the Eddie Guerrero taunt. Vaquer tries the SVB. Stratton counters and misses the PME. Vaquer nails Stratton with a modified Spiral tap for the win!

After the match, Triple H presents Vaquer with the championship and her Crown Jewel ring.
Grade: B
This one was a fun contest. Imagine what the two of these superstars could do if they were embroiled in a blood feud? Vaquer is so good, she made Stratton’s offense, which everyone else makes look like crap (see the cartwheel Alabama slam), look like a million bucks. Also, this writer has seen enough. Vaquer is the top woman in WWE. Argue with someone who likes arguing.
John Cena vs. AJ Styles
Styles comes to the ring in his TNA gear (talk about a call back). After Cena’s intro, Cena hands Alicia the ring announcer a note. Alicia gives Styles a Cena-style intro. As the match kicks off, Styles avoids a hip toss from Cena. Styles lands a flurry that ends with a near fall. Three basement elbows lead to three nearfalls for Styles. Cena manages to floor Styles with a clothesline. Shoulder tackles by Cena. Styles eventually lands the Protoplex. Cena lands the Five Knuckle Shuffle and an AA. Styles kicks out. Cena tries another AA. Styles reverses it with a Ushigoroshi. Styles counters the Styles Clash into a Skull Crushing Finale! Styles kicks out!

Cena goes up top. Styles cuts Cena off and hits a torture rack bomb. Cena kicks out. Scorpion Death Drop by Styles! Cena kicks out. Cena reverses the Styles Clash into the STFU! Styles reverses that into a crossface. Cena counters that with an Accolade. Styles turns that into a Coquina Clutch! Cena reverses that into the Walls of Jericho! Styles turns the Walls into the Calf Crusher. A reversal by Cena turns this isn’t another STFU! Styles escapes and lands the Styles Clash! Styles tries the Phoenominal Forearm, but Cena plucks Styles out of the air and hits SISTER ABIGAIL, complete with a forehead kiss.
The Finish
The crowd chants for Bray. Cena sets up the AA. Styles reverses that into the Angel’s Wings. Cena kicks out. Cena sets up a Pedgree. Styles turns that into a Deadeye (WTF??). Kick out by Cena! Styles charges in, and Cena hits an Orton-style hangman’s DDT. RKO by Cena! Styles kicks! Cena tries an Orton Punt. Styles avoids it and lands a DVD. Kick out by Cena. Styles tries Five Knuckle Shuffle, but Cena grabs Styles by the throat and chokeslams him. The crowd chants for Cena to do the 619. Cena trips Styles into the ropes and charges in for the 619.
Styles destroys Cena with a lariat. Springboard 450 by Styles. Cena kicks again. Styles tunes up the band and drops Cena with Sweet Chin Music. Cena kicks again! Phenomenal Forearm by Styles! Cena kicks out at 2.9999. Styles tries to elbow his way out of an AA, but Cena powers him up and hits the move. Styles kicks at 2.9999. Cena sets up a super AA up top. Styles pushes Cena off the ropes. Styles dives off the top and gets caught by Cena. Cena obliterates Styles with a Tombstone Piledriver, and immediately transitions into another AA for the win!
Winner- John Cena
Grade: A+
FIGHT FOREVER! This writer loved this match. The member berries filled the ring with this one. Styles followed Cena’s lead and used the finishes of his rivals to assault Cena. The fact that we saw an Angel’s wings during this match should tell you everything you need to know about how many pounds of member berries were in the ring tonight. We know Styles isn’t going to be around much longer, but this match felt like a farewell for both men. This match was a love letter to professional wrestling that everyone needs to see. Also, and this can’t go unstated: CENA AND STYLES NEVER LEFT THE RING DURING THIS MATCH. AGAIN.
Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY vs. The Kabuki Warriors
As soon as the bell rings, Asuka and Sane attack Ripley and SKY. Ripley gets tossed over the top. Asuka and Sane set up a double team on SKY. Ripley breaks it up with a dropkick. SKY sends Sane out of the ring. Asuka posts Ripley. SKY and Asuka have a standoff. SKY floors Asuka with a front dropkick. SKY and Asuka trade strikes. Asuka runs into a dropkick from Asuka. There have been no tags so far in this match. Asuka rolls out. SKY surprises her with a dive. After a distraction from Sane, Asuka sends SKY into the ring post. The Kabuki Warriors take turns beating down SKY.
After an extended beatdown, SKY finally tags in Ripley, who clears the ring. Asuka catches Ripley with a shining wizard. Ripley kicks out. Asuka and Sane set up their finish on Ripley. Ripley escapes and lands a dropkick. Ripley sends Sane flying clear across the ring with a Razor’s Edge. SKY missile dropkicks Sane. SKY attempts a butterfly suplex, but Sane turns it into an Alabama Slam. SKY pushes Sane off the top. Asuka breaks up SKY’s moonsault attempt. Sane and Asuka send Ripley into the ring steps. SKY takes out Sane and Asuka with an Asai moonsault. SKY crushes Sane with the Over the Moonsault. Asuka breaks up the pin.
The Finish
Ripley boots Asuka in the face. SKY and Ripley set up a Doomsday Device. Asuka breaks it up. Ripley tries Riptide, but Sane escapes. Asuka and Sane hit their finish on Ripley. SKY breaks up the pin. Springboard dropkick by SKY to Asuka. SKY kicked Asuka right in the face on that one. It was gnarly. Ripley and Asuka trade strikes. Ripley sets up an avalanche Riptide, but Sane tags herself in. Ripley boots Sane in the face and hits Riptide. Ripley tags in SKY, who flattens Sane with the Over the Moonsault for the win!
Winners- Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY
Grade: B-
This match had all the makings of being underwhelming, especially considering they had to follow Styles and Cena. Much to this writer’s surprise, that wasn’t the case. This match started off totally different from most tag matches, with an extended brawl that would typically get a match thrown out. Considering the circumstances that led to this match, it had to have an element of chaos for it to be more than your run-of-the-mill tag match. All four women delivered here.
Men’s Crown Jewel Championship Match: Seth Rollins (c) vs. Cody Rhodes (c)
As soon as the bell rings, Rhodes locks up with Rollins hard. After another exchange, Rollins ends up on his butt in the ring. Rollins gets frustrated, and a fist fight breaks out. Rollins misses a Stomp. Rhdoes avoids a Pedigree. Drop down uppercut by Rhodes. Rollins is sent out of the ring. Rhodes sends Rollins flying off the apron with a disaster kick. Rollins goes nuts outside the ring and gets in Michael Cole’s face. Rhodes makes the save. Rhodes clears the commentary desk. Rollins pushes Rhodes into the ring steps. Rollins lays Rhodes on the barricade and mushroom stomps him. Rollins works over Rhodes. Rhodes tries to fire up and try a disaster kick. Rollins amazingly turns it into a sit-out powerbomb. Rhodes kicks out.

Rollins works over Rhodes’ arm. Rhodes fires up again and gets mangled by a dragon screw from Rollins. Rollins does Rhodes’ Stardust taunt. Rhodes gets to his feet. Rollins tries a Bionic Elbow. Rhodes counters with a few jabs. Figure Four by Rollins. Rhodes escapes. Vertabreaker by Rhodes. Disaster kick by Rhodes. Rollins gets to his feet just in time for a Bionic Elbow! Rollins rolls out. Suicide dive by Rhodes. Cody Cutter by Rhodes. Rollins kicks out. Rhodes calls for his finish. Rollins turns it into a pin. Rhodes kicks out. Rhodes tries a springboard. Rollins meets Rhodes with a boot to the gut and a Pedigree! Kick out at two.
The Finish:
Crossroads by Rollins! Rhodes kicks out! Rollins misses a phoenix splash, but lands on his feet. Rhodes misses a Super Cody Cutter. Pedigree by Rollins. Rollins follows that with the Stomp! Rhodes kicks out! Rollins rolls out of the ring and grabs the watch Rhodes gave him after WrestleMania 40. Rollins wraps it around his fist, but seems conflicted. After an argument with himself, Rollins slams the watch on the apron and charges into a superkick from Rhodes. Cody Cutter by Rhodes. Crossroads by Rhodes! Rollins kicks out! Rollins hangs Rhodes in the tree of woe.
As Rhodes hangs, Rollins sails through he air and hits a coast-to-coast diving headbutt! Rhodes kicks again. Rollins may have hurt his arm in the process. Rhodes and Rollins fight up top. Top rope Spanish Fly by Rollins. Kick out by Rhodes. Rollins is dejected; he doesn’t know what to do next. Rollins sets up a Super Stomp. Rhodes breaks it up and hits a Crossroads off the top! Rollins somehow kicks out! Rollins and Rhodes trade shots. Rollins picks up the watch he left in the corner. After a ref bump, Rollins decks Rhodes using the watch as knucks. Rollins lands a Stomp. Rollins goes up top and hits a Super Stomp for the win.
Winner and NEW Men’s Crown Jewel Champion, Seth Rollins!
Grade: B+
Another banger of a match. Rhodes and Rollins have fought three times over the past few years. Each match has been totally different. Tonight, Rollins and Rhodes manage to do things this writer has never seen before. A coast-to-coast diving headbutt? Top rope Crossroads? This match was phenomenal and somehow managed to follow and surpass most of what we’ve seen tonight. Rollins finally got a monkey named Rhodes off his back and is now firmly in control of HIS Vision. Or is he?
WWE Crown Jewel Review:
Sheamus must have booked this show because it was banger after banger. This may have been the best PLE of the year. Between the high match quality and the multitude of storylines springing from this show, we are going to be eating well for the next few weeks, provided WWE keeps up the momentum.
