Iyo Sky Comments On Future In Japan After Facing Mayu Iwatani

WWE star Iyo Sky shared that while nothing has been finalized yet after her match with Mayu Iwatani, she expects to wrestle in Japan again soon.

This past weekend, the Marigold Grand Destiny event took place on October 26, 2025, at the Ryōgoku Kokugikan in Tokyo, Japan. The show featured nine matches highlighting top Japanese wrestlers, with WWE’s Iyo Sky facing Marigold Super Fly Champion Mayu Iwatani in the main event. The two stars delivered an incredible 26-minute non-title match, where Sky emerged victorious.

After the show, Iyo Sky spoke with Hype Talk TV and reflected on her return to the Japanese ring. When asked about her best matches in Japan, Sky said, “There have been so many so far, But maybe the one against Meiko Satomura. Now Mayu Iwatani too, so many of the matches I had back in the STARDOM days those were really good. And today’s match too of course [with Iwatani].”

Iyo Sky also addressed the possibility of more matches in Japan, revealing that while there are no concrete plans yet, several wrestlers have expressed interest in facing her.

“For now, nothing’s been decided after Marigold. But Mayu said she wants to wrestle me again, and there are others in Japan who’ve said the same, that they’d like to face me too. So if the timing works out, I’m sure I’ll be back wrestling in Japan again.” [H/T: 411mania]
