Harley Cameron is hoping to become the first-ever AEW Women’s World Tag Team Champions with Willow Nightingale.
All Elite Wrestling‘s Harley Cameron and Willow Nightingale recently sat down with Adam Banard of The Sportster. When Harley was asked about the pairing heading into an important matchup against Athena and Mercedes Moné, Cameron spoke about the Nightingale’s qualities as a human being and they she gravitates towards someone like that.
“It’s funny, we’re very different in many ways, but we’re also very similar in many ways,” Harley Cameron said. “There’s this energy about Willow that I just gravitate to. Just her as a whole, you feel so happy and warm and positive and enlightened to be around her. I have always been attracted to anything in life that is like that, and I think she personifies those qualities.
“It’s very cool because we are different in certain aspects, the way we deliver in the ring and the way we present ourselves on camera, but I do think there is that chemistry that is undeniable with a very similar spirit. We gel very quickly; a lot of people have said to us that it doesn’t feel like we’re a brand new team. We’re really finding our groove and we’re working well together.” [H/T: Fightful]
Willow Nightingale loves how accepting Harley Cameron is of her wacky ideas
On the other hand, Nightingale is grateful that Cameron is receptive to some of her wacky ideas, making them a very entertaining tag team.
“Sometimes I have really wacky and off-the-wall ideas and a lot of people just kind of look at me like, ‘What?’ But even the other day, we did this thing in the ring, it was a silly little wiggle that we did and Harley was like, ‘Yeah, I’m into it.’ Something as simple as those bright colors that we have in our matching gear, not everybody’s going to be into that or be like, ‘Yeah, let’s do something bright and colorful.’ Along with everything that Harley was saying, it’s just more of that synergy.” [H/T: Fightful]
