Mercedes Moné Is Grabbing The Diamond Ring And Taking The World By Storm

A current WWE star, who’s under a legends contract with the company, believes Mercedes Moné is taking the wrestling world by storm.

Speaking on the debut episode of her Identity Crisis podcast, CJ Perry (AKA Lana) had high praise for the reigning AEW TBS Champion. Perry named Mercedes Moné and Natalya as two stars who are taking the wrestling world by storm.

“Mercedes Moné and also Nattie, but both of them have been like, taking the wrestling world by storm. The number one thing that it takes to be successful is hustle.” When co-host Jonathan Saba asked if she meant grabbing the brass ring, Perry said, “Literally grabbing the diamond ring, and that’s exactly what Mercedes is doing.”

CJ Perry praised Mercedes Moné for holding several championships and highlighted how Moné and Natalya are putting small independent promotions on the map while working for major companies.

“Ok, so this woman, she blows my mind. So, she literally showed up in Poland and Austria, and no one knew she was going to show up in a little venue, a little wrestling ring venue, to show up out of the blue, fight people for the championships, and she’s collecting world titles around the world. So, her Instagram literally has it hanging with, I don’t even know how many championships.

CJ Perry Praised Mercedes Moné And Natalya For Betting On Themselves

“We have to invest in ourselves. So, Nattie and I talk about this all the time, like, if we can’t invest, if we don’t believe that we’re worth it, and putting money back into our career and our brand, then why would any studio or wrestling company or magazine or brand decide we are worth them putting money into us?

“And so, I think that’s what Mercedes is doing, and also what Nattie is doing is that they are betting on themselves.”

When Saba spoke about Natalya going to small promotions and working under a different gimmick, CJ Perry said, “Yeah, and she’s in WWE, so it’s not only is she been wrestling for over 20 years, and she’s grown up as a Hart in this business. Yes, longest-standing professional female wrestler, has had the most matches in WWE of all time, out of women, has had the most pay-per-views out of all women of all time. I think even the most wins, I believe. I at one point, she was the longest iron woman in the Royal Rumble. Yes, period. So I love that both my best friends are just killing it.
