Ridge Holland shared a bit of good news in regard to his recent issues with WWE.
Former NXT star Ridge Holland, aka Luke Menzies, appeared on Busted Open Radio to talk about his WWE exit and injuries related to the situation. Menzies was injured while competing in a match for TNA this summer. He later announced it would require surgery, but also said he was looking at a potential neck fusion surgery.
Bully Ray asked where Menzies is at physically and when he could potentially get back in the ring. Menzies said he’s scheduled for a surgery consultation and could be looking at a return in May 2026 if he has the fusion surgery.
“So, I’ve got an appointment with a surgeon on Wednesday about my neck. [It’s a] C5, C6 fusion, looking likely,” Menzies said. “So we’re looking around probably May of next year.”
Despite money and insurance being an issue, Menzies said that WWE is paying for the surgery. He also believes they will likely pay for his rehabilitation efforts.
“Since it’s an open case, WWE will pay for the surgery,” Menzies said. “I believe [they’ll pay for the rehab], unless something else happens. But I believe so, yeah.”
Menzies recently posted a Tweet sharing that he worried he wouldn’t be able to pay his mortgage and said he felt like WWE hung him out to dry. WWE ultimately terminated his deal because they felt that his comments were a breach of contract, which he also confirmed during the Busted Open podcast appearance.
Menzies later posted a video on his own YouTube channel and said that he posted the Tweet because he was upset and venting. However, he said it was out of character and made his situation worse.
