Ridge Holland shares a positive medical update.
After undergoing surgery for a Lisfranc injury sustained in September, former WWE star Ridge Holland (real name Luke Menzies) revealed that he had also been coping with an existing neck injury. As such, Holland met with a neck specialist, who then recommended surgery for it as well.
Holland has since undergone the neck surgery, which he today announced as a success.
“After further testing I had two collapsed discs in my neck resulting in nerve impingement,” Holland wrote on X alongside of video him wearing a neck brace. “Yesterday I underwent disc replacement surgery at the Hospital for Special Surgery in Manhattan with Dr Sheeraz Qureshi. The surgery was deemed to be very successful.”
Initially assuming his surgery to be a fusing of his C5 and C6 vertebra, Holland estimated his in-ring return to take place around May 2026. Whether or not that timeline is the same for the disc replacement surgery he ultimately underwent has yet to be confirmed.
Following his departure from WWE, Holland noted that WWE would still pay for his medical procedures and likely for the rehabilitation that followed.
The UK native has been out of action since September 27, when he suffered a mid-match foot injury while wrestling TNA star Moose at TNA television tapings. TNA officials subsequently stopped and never aired the bout. In November, Holland officially left WWE due to the company terminating his contract early.
