Could a former NXT Champion be making their WWE main roster debut at tonight’s SmackDown and RAW tapings?
WWE will begin the Christmas vacation for its roster early this year, as tonight’s SmackDown taping will also tape this Monday’s episode of RAW. And a former NXT Champion is currently backstage at the event.
According to a new report from Bodyslam+, former two-time NXT Champion Trick Williams is backstage at tonight’s SmackDown and RAW taping from the Van Andel Arena in Grand Rapids, Michigan.
Williams is expected to be called up to the main roster soon. However, it’s currently unknown if WWE is planning on using him for one of tonight’s events. He very well could be there to visit his fiancée, SmackDown Superstar Lash Legend.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
Is tonight’s episode of WWE SmackDown live or taped?
The big question many fans have going into tonight’s broadcast is whether tonight’s episode of SmackDown will be live or taped.
WWE taped an episode of SmackDown following RAW on Monday evening. It was initially reported by WrestleVotes that these tapings would air on December 26, while tonight’s episode would be live.
Since then, there have been other people trying to debunk this, stating that tonight’s episode of SmackDown will be what was taped on Monday, and this evening’s episode will be taped for December 26 instead.
WWE has yet to announce anything for tonight’s episode of SmackDown, so it’s difficult to know which report is correct.
