Andrade Is Returning To New Japan Pro-Wrestling

Andrade is officially returning to New Japan Pro-Wrestling.

After reaching a settlement with WWE over his non-compete clause, Andrade returned to the independent circuit over the past two weeks. While fans are speculating about his potential return to AEW, the 36-year-old star has announced his return to NJPW.

In a new video uploaded on NJPW’s official X/Twitter account, Andrade announced that he will return to the promotion at Wrestle Kingdom 20, where he’ll team up with the United Empire to take on The Bullet Club War Dogs in a ten-man tag team match.

“My name is Andrade El Idolo. La Sombra is back in Japan. I’m not going to see (Hiroshi) Tanahashi. I have business all over the world. But in Japan, I have very good business with my friends of the United Empire. Amigos, see you at Wrestle Kingdom.”

Wrestle Kingdom 20 will mark the first time since January 2015 that the Mexican star competes in an NJPW ring. The event will also witness Hiroshi Tanahashi’s retirement match against Kazuchika Okada.

Andrade Got Candid About His Divorce From Charlotte Flair

During his recent appearance on El Ring, Andrade opened up on his divorce from Charlotte Flair and whether she had any role in his exit from WWE.

“A lot of people ask whether she had anything to do with my departure from WWE. She had nothing to do with it — not at all. She never spoke to the company, never asked them to fire me, nothing like that. Absolutely nothing.

“I respect her. She was an incredible woman and an amazing wife. I wish her nothing but the best.

“And to the fans who keep asking and saying, ‘Charlotte, Charlotte,’ I’ll say this: in this case, I admit it as a person and as a man — I was the one who failed in the relationship. I can’t speak badly about her. She is an incredible woman, and I truly wish her the best. She knows that.

“And to the fans: please stop bothering her,” Andrade said. [H/T: NoDQ.com]
