Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer has announced an injury tonight on WWE RAW.
Last week on WWE RAW, Stephanie Vaquer successfully defended her Women’s World Championship in a triple threat match against Nikki Bella and Raquel Rodriguez. But the champion didn’t escape the match unscathed.
Vaquer would appear in the ring tonight for an interview with a walking boot, revealing she suffered an ankle injury in her match last week on RAW.
Despite the injury, Vaquer insisted she would carry on and wouldn’t be relinquishing the championship. Following the promo, Raquel Rodriguez attacked Vaquer from behind and targeted her injured ankle.
She attempted to further damage it with a steel chair, but Adam Pearce, security, and several referees prevented this from happening. Backstage, Rodriguez attacked Vaquer again, which resulted in Pearce ejecting The Judgment Day member from the building.
As of this writing, it’s unknown if this injury is a work or legitimate.
Stay tuned to WrestleZone for more information as it becomes available.
