Oba Femi‘s NXT run has officially come to an end, and WWE reportedly has big plans for The Ruler on the main roster.
The main event of Tuesday’s WWE NXT saw Femi successfully defend the NXT Championship against TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater. Following the match, The Ruler left the NXT Championship in the ring. Effectively vacating the title so Femi can head to the main roster.
This was done by design as WWE reportedly has big plans for Oba Femi on the main roster.
On the latest episode of WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, it was reported that Femi is expected to land on WWE RAW and will immediately be placed near the top of the card.
On top of that, there are already creative pushes to have Femi featured prominently at WrestleMania 42.
As for vacating the NXT Championship, Sean Ross Sapp reports that it was due to main roster creative not wanting him to take another loss.
