A WWE Hall of Famer had a hilarious response when he got caught smoking weed with Snoop Dogg.
Speaking to SoCalVal on The Velvet Ropes podcast, WWE Hall of Famer The Godfather recalled smoking weed with Snoop Dogg at a WWE event and getting caught by Vince McMahon.
He remembers someone asking him if he had any weed for Snoop Dogg, who was in a bad mood. He rolled up some blunts and went into a room and lit some up with the rapper. He recounted the hilarious exchange he had with former WWE Chairman Vince McMahon, who was outside the room when he opened the door.
“Someone comes to me and says, ‘Hey Godfather, you got any weed? Snoop’s in a bad mood…’ I roll up some blunts… we’re down there just blazing up in the room [at the Rosemont in Chicago]… I bust out the door. Who’s there? There’s Vince, there’s Linda, there’s Stephanie… Bruce Prichard… They’re all just looking at me. I said, ‘Hey, don’t look at me, you guys are the ones who brought Snoop Dogg here.’ I just kept walking. The funny thing about it, I swear to you, I never heard one thing from anybody about that,” the WWE Hall of Famer said.
WWE legend D’Lo Brown also shared his recollection of the moment
Speaking on another episode of The Velvet Ropes with SoCal Val, former WWE Intercontinental Champion D’Lo Brown gave a detailed account of The Godfather and Snoop Dogg’s infamous smoke session.
“That was Raw in Chicago,” the WWE legend began, “at the Allstate Arena, and it’s very small; the downstairs is very small. So, there’s a small hallway, and there’s like three or four rooms there, and on the left side is the boys’ locker room, and then the girls’ locker room, and on the right side was like, production and then Vince’s office.
“So, Snoop comes rolling in, and, you know, he’s dapping and he’s hanging with the boys, and all of a sudden, him and Godfather go disappear into this room. And like clockwork, five minutes later, the entire bottom bowl of the arena smells of the funk of 40,000 years.
“It is weed sensual in this thing, right?” D’Lo Brown continued, “and as Vince comes rolling up, walking in, out open the door hears Godfather open the door, and it’s like something out of Cheech and Chong, a puff of smoke comes out. And as Godfather tells the story, he walked out, looked at Vince, and he goes, ‘What do you expect me to do? You put me in the room with him.’ And Vince goes, ‘Alright, pal,’ and keeps walking on,” the WWE legend said.
