Dave Bautista explains the heartwarming origin of his Winnie the Pooh tattoo.
Actor and WWE legend Dave Bautista has a range of tattoos covering his body. This includes a Winnie the Pooh tattoo on his right leg. He explained its unique origin during an interview with GQ, which has now resurfaced on X/Twitter.
Dave Bautista explained that the tattoo was a result of a sweet promise he made to his My Spy co-star, Chloe Coleman. She was disappointed after wrongly guessing he already had one during a press tour to promote the movie. So, Bautista promised her that he’d actually get one.

“A little actress named Chloe Coleman, who is one of my favorite people in the world,” Dave Bautista began. “So, we went out on the press tour, and they asked Chloe, ‘Is it true or false Dave has a tattoo of Winnie the Pooh?’ And Chloe said, ‘I know most people might think that Dave is big and mean and scary, so he wouldn’t have a Winnie the Pooh tattoo. But I know Dave. He’s like the sweetest guy ever, and he’s just a big teddy bear, and I just love him.’
“She went on and on and said all these great things about me, and she said, ‘So yes, I think it’s true. Dave has a Winnie the Pooh tattoo.’ And she got the buzzer… wrong. She was so disappointed, and I was disappointed for her. I said, ‘I don’t have one, but because I love you so much, I’m going to get one.’ So, I got a Winnie the Pooh tattoo for my little co-star Chloe Coleman,” Dave Bautista said.
He also shared the story during his appearance on The Tonight Show in 2024.
