CM Punk has explained why he believes his current WWE run is the best of his entire career as he heads toward WrestleMania 42.
In an interview on the You Better You Bet show, CM Punk talks about his current place in WWE. He also opens up about what WrestleMania means to him, especially with a match against Roman Reigns.
He explains that he is entering WrestleMania as the champion. Punk adds that there are very few things left he has not already accomplished in the business. “This is literally everything I ever asked for. I’m the champ, heading into WrestleMania. There’s not a lot that I haven’t accomplished in this business, and to still be operating at this high level as a 47 year old man.”
He shared that he believes he is doing the best work of his career and has no reason to complain. “I think I’m doing the best work of my career, so why would I complain? I’m just grateful for it all.”
“I know my window is closing, this is all gonna end some day, but until then, I’m going until the wheels fall off. I’m super proud of myself. I’m not gonna give myself all these flowers while I’m still around, the proof is in the pudding. The proof is I am strapped up, I’m the Heavyweight Champion, I’m on the cover of WWE 2K26, that’s just the fruits of my labour and it justifies all the hard work and sacrifice that I put in to get here.” [H/T: Wrestletalk]
Punk is currently enjoying a historic run in WWE. He main-events WrestleMania in back-to-back years and serves as the face of WWE RAW on Netflix.
