Jesse Ventura: Donald Trump Is In WWE Hall of Fame For Stopping Investigation Against Vince McMahon

Jesse Ventura claims the only reason Donald Trump is in the WWE Hall of Fame is due to his helping Vince McMahon get out of an investigation.

Ventura appeared on Piers Morgan Uncensored and laid in to Donald Trump again, this time calling his status as a WWE Hall of Famer a tragedy. Ventura said he has friends like Ken Patera who aren’t Hall of Famers, but alleged Trump got in because he helped stop an investigation against Vince McMahon.

“Trump being a WWE Hall of Famer is a tragedy. This guy has never been in the ring. I have a good friend, Ken Patera, [he’s an] Olympian, [the] first man to overhead press 500 pounds, 25 years in the wrestling business. Kenny Patera is not in the Hall of Fame. Donald Trump does not belong in the wrestling Hall of Fame, he never earned it.”

Jesse Ventura accuses Donald Trump of influencing his WWE Hall of Fame induction

Ventura said he had to wrestle 63 consecutive nights in a row at one point, which made him Hall of Fame worthy. Morgan then alluded to a clip of Ventura saying the country might need a wrestler in the White House. Ventura rebuffed the claim, clarifying that he was talking about himself, not Donald Trump.

“I was the former Governor of Minnesota. I’m the only real former wrestler—don’t include him! He’s only in the Hall of Fame because he stopped an investigation against Vince McMahon, of sexual stuff.”

Donald Trump was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2013, and was elected President for the first time in 2016. The federal government opened an investigation into Vince McMahon in 2024 after former employee Janel Grant alleged that McMahon sexually assaulted and trafficked her.

This isn’t the first time Ventura called out Trump’s WWE Hall of Fame status. During a recent appearance on the Independent Americans podcast, Ventura called the achievement a disgrace. During another appearance on Rosemary Barton Live, Ventura said the United States was getting what it deserved for electing Trump.
