The March 20, 2026, episode of WWE SmackDown featured Nikki Bella and Brie Bella in tag team action against The Irresistible Forces (Nia Jax and Lash Legend). The bout marked The Bella Twins’ return to tag team competition for the first time since 2018.
The match ended in a no contest after Charlotte Flair attacked Nia Jax. The assault sparked an all-out brawl involving The Bellas, The Irresistible Forces, and Flair alongside Alexa Bliss. Jax and Legend ultimately stood tall after laying out the other two teams.
Speaking on a recent episode of The Nikki and Brie Show, The Bella Twins reflected on their return to tag team action on WWE television. After Brie Bella said she wanted to explain why they couldn’t do the backflip, Nikki Bella revealed that their match time had been cut.
“We had so much time cut. Whenever I do the backflip, I like to take a moment to celebrate. And we thought we were going to come in and — anyways, long story short, when time gets cut, you’re just trying to figure out how to get everything started quickly,” Nikki Bella said.

Reflecting on the experience, Nikki Bella said it was incredible to be back in the ring with Brie Bella. She added that she wished they had more time and noted that the match reminded her how much she loves tag team wrestling.
“It was incredible being back in the ring with you. There’s so much more we want to do, and we wish we had more time.
“But it was such a great first match. We hadn’t shared a ring in about eight years. And it was a moment I truly loved — something I’ve wanted for the past year and a half.
“It reminded me how much I love tag team wrestling, having that communication even in moments like, ‘Brie, help a sister out,’” Nikki said.
