Brody King has been pulled from this week’s AEW Dynamite. The news came suddenly, and details remain limited for now.
AEW will hold Dynamite at Rogers Place in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada. This show builds up to Dynasty. The card looked strong before this change happened. King was originally set for a big match on the show.
He was going to team with Darby Allin and Jack Perry. They were scheduled to face the Don Callis Family team, which includes Andrade El Idolo, Mark Davis, and Konosuke Takeshita. Now, AEW has changed those plans.
Bandido replaces Brody King on the AEW Dynamite card
Tony Khan confirmed the update before the show on X, formerly known as Twitter. He said King will not compete due to personal reasons, but did not add any further information.
“Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite TOMORROW! Konosuke Takeshita/ @DUNKZILLADavis / @AndradeElIdolo vs @DarbyAllin / @Boy_Myth_Legend / @bandidowrestler With Brody out for personal reasons, his partner has his back: Bandido will join Darby/Jungle Jack vs Don Callis Family All-Stars TOMORROW!”
King confirmed his absence is due to his attending the funeral of his friend, Harm’s Way guitarist and HardLore podcast host Bo Lueders.
Bandido will now replace King in the match. He will team with Allin and Perry instead. The match will still happen as planned. The show still includes several big segments and matches. Chris Jericho will speak about his return.
Willow Nightingale will defend her TBS Championship against Queen Aminata and Kenny Omega will address his upcoming match. He will face MJF for the AEW World Championship at Dynasty.
