Jim Ross Has No Doubt Vince McMahon Will Be Involved In WWE WrestleMania 42 Creative

Jim Ross says he has no doubt Vince McMahon will be instrumental in the creative process for WWE WrestleMania 42.

On the latest episode of the Grilling JR podcast, co-host Conrad Thompson asked WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross about the rumors that the promotion plans to induct Vince McMahon into the Hall of Fame next year when WrestleMania 43 takes place in Saudi Arabia. He then asked JR if there’s any chance for McMahon to return to WWE in any creative capacity.

Jim Ross replied that it’s a possibility and also stated that it’s even possible this year, saying he has no doubt in his mind that Vince McMahon would be involved in the WrestleMania 42 creative.

“Yeah, absolutely. No doubt about it. No question in my mind. It’s the old cliché: where there’s smoke, oftentimes there’s fire, and there’s been a lot of smoke regarding VKM in WWE, and what his future may or may not be, and how he can still contribute. He’s a big-picture guy, and that takes a lot of detail work and planning, but he can do that. He can make all that happen,” Ross said about Vince McMahon.

“You know he’s hungry. You know that if he’s making pies, we know he’s in the kitchen. So I don’t think there’s any doubt in my mind that Vince will be instrumental in this year’s WrestleMania, as far as creative is concerned,” he said.

Jim Ross believes Vince McMahon will rise again in WWE

“He’s not gonna wait on anything. As John Wayne would say, ‘We’re burning daylight.’ Something’s gonna happen, and I believe that McMahon will be able to contribute to this year’s WrestleMania. That’s one of the great things about pro wrestling nowadays. You get this input, all this smoke, as we said earlier, and there’s a lot of smoke out there right now, and I think that through the haze, Vince McMahon will rise again to some level.

“This may be main events, this may be titles, or whatever, I don’t know. But I can see this much speculation about Vince for there not to be something there. He may not be as active as I perceive that he might, but I don’t know. I just think he’s gonna be involved in WrestleMania in some shape, form, or fashion.

“That’s not a disrespect to the Triple H team at all. It’s just the fact that you got one of the most successful pro wrestling guy in history who’s available, and I think that you use whoever is available in the best way they can be used and call it a day, and see where it takes you.”

Ross says TKO executives would be ignorant if they didn’t welcome McMahon back in WWE

Conrad Thompson pointed out that Vince McMahon is not facing any criminal charges in Janel Grant’s civil lawsuit against him or in the lawsuit over WWE’s merger with Endeavor. He then noted that he had seen TKO turning a blind eye to similar situations in the UFC, saying they wanted to take care of the business and let the individuals handle the civil matters on their own. He cited issues they may have had with Jon Jones and Conor McGregor.

When Thompson asked if TKO CEO Ari Emmanuel and President Mark Shapiro would welcome Vince McMahon back in a formal capacity, Jim Ross said, “Absolutely. They would not be good businessmen if they weren’t willing to entertain that idea.

“Because they realize that McMahon’s a guy that built the whole damn thing. He has a vision that nobody else has. He’s been doing this a long time; he’s gone through every up and down and in and out, and I just think they’d be remiss if the decision makers not use Vince if he’s willing and he’s able to be utilized. I think they’re too smart not to utilize Vince McMahon if he’s willing to work,” Jim Ross said.
