Jacob Fatu reveals his new tattoo ahead of his clash against Drew McIntyre at WWE WrestleMania 42.
Fans noticed that former WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu had a new traditional Samoan tattoo on his left arm when he took on Tama Tonga on the April 10 episode of SmackDown. The new one is wrapped around his existing “Journey” tattoo.
Now, Jacob Fatu has given a better look at his new tattoo after he showed off the finished work in a video uploaded on artist Michael Fatutoa’s Instagram account. Fatutoa has previously worked on the tattoos of Roman Reigns and Jey Uso.
The Samoan Werewolf is gearing up to face Drew McIntyre in an unsanctioned match on WWE WrestleMania 42 Night 1. McIntyre got the better of Jacob Fatu on last week’s SmackDown, as he left him handcuffed and bloodied. It will be interesting to see how the former United States Champion responds on the go-home episode of the blue brand this Friday.
Jacob Fatu says recent injury cost him a lot of opportunities in WWE
During his recent conversation with Shakiel Mahjouri of CBS Sports, Jacob Fatu reflected on his 11-week absence from WWE television, which spanned from October 2025 to January 2026 due to dental issues. The Samoan Werewolf admitted that he lost a lot of opportunities as a result of the time spent on the sidelines. However, he believes his WrestleMania 42 program with Drew McIntyre is the best fit for him right now.
“I probably missed out on a lot of opportunities, but it is what it is,” he said. “They say in this business, ‘Things happen, and the show must go on.’ I missed out, but what was I going to do? I couldn’t sit there and dwell. No, none of that.”
“It’s where I’m supposed to be. It’s the best fit right now,” Jacob Fatu said. “I’m not with regular people. These are not regular people. These are names that have done huge things in WWE. Drew McIntyre and Cody Rhodes. It’s not overwhelming, but there’s a fan side of me sometimes, a little bit, that feels like, ‘Damn, I’m really here. Tapping in with them.’ It’ll be a good outlet.”
