WWE‘s Cody Rhodes calls Pat McAfee a full-blown rat surrounded by yes men.
Ahead of his Undisputed WWE Championship defense against Randy Orton at WWE WrestleMania 42, Cody Rhodes appeared on ESPN’s Get Up to promote the match and the event. During the interview, he gave his honest thoughts on Pat McAfee, who inserted himself into the storyline as Orton’s mystery caller, calling him a “full-blown and full-blooded rat” surrounded by people who will not say no to him.
When the host asked him to share his take on McAfee, Cody Rhodes said, “A rat! A full-blown, full-blooded rat, who is surrounded by people that don’t tell him no enough, and now he’s fully involved in what we’re doing, and Pat McAfee is on the marquee next to Randy Orton. No one expected that. So at least, we can expect the unexpected with ESPN’s own Pat McAfee. Also, I don’t have the title because he took it to the Thunderdome, so I’m title-less.
Cody Rhodes also sent a message to Pat McAfee
Speaking further, Cody Rhodes sent a message to Pat McAfee, asking him not to show up at WWE WrestleMania 42 this Saturday. However, Rhodes quickly changed his mind, saying he’s looking forward to seeing what he can do at the event. He also believes McAfee is not ready for what he has gotten himself into.
“Don’t show up. No, no, I think Pat, right now, is swimming. He’s just in the shallows, he’s treading water a bit, he’ll be in the deep end on Saturday, and I look forward to seeing what he can do.” When the host asked if McAfee was ready for what he got himself into, Cody Rhodes said, “I think he’s the type that gets ready. He’s gonna get ready. I believe that’s the motto of his journey. He’s clearly passionate, and he clearly works hard, but this is a whole new ballgame for Pat, and I don’t know if he’s ready.
