The April 14, 2026, episode of WWE NXT Revenge teased the prospect of Joe Hendry possibly moving to WWE’s main roster.
Hendry came out for one of his usual live concerts, holding his guitar and talking about his recent loss to Tony D’Angelo at NXT Stand & Deliver 2026. It felt like a big moment for him. After losing the NXT Championship, he started questioning his future. Was this the end, or did he still have more to prove?
Joe Hendry’s NXT concert segment hints at a possible main roster move
While singing about losing the title, he said, “The title was my life, it’s a shame that I lost her… Can I get it back? Or will I go to the…” and then he suddenly stopped as Keanu Carver made his entrance.
That pause felt very intentional, and it came at a very clever point.
“Lost her” could easily rhyme with “roster,” making it seem like he was teasing a move to the main roster. WWE often drops small hints like this, and this moment felt like one of them. It has not been confirmed, but it was enough to get fans speculating.
Before he could finish, Keanu Carver ran into the ring and interrupted him. Things quickly turned chaotic. Hendry fought back at first and even broke a guitar over Carver. But Carver didn’t even flinch.
He attacked Hendry with a clothesline. As security came in to separate them, Carver sent Hendry along with the security crashing through the barricade. Hendry was left hurt.
After Trick Williams, several rumors suggest that Hendry could be called up soon, possibly along with stars like Jacy Jayne and Sol Ruca. From a storytelling point of view, it makes sense. Hendry is already popular with fans thanks to his personality and past big appearances, like in WrestleMania 41.
He doesn’t need the NXT title to stay important. Keeping him here a bit longer helps build more hype before he eventually moves up. This is a classic WWE move- tease something big without confirming it.
