Liv Morgan has surfaced in the final days before WrestleMania 42 with visible facial injuries, raising questions about her condition as she prepares for a high-stakes title match.
The damage traces back to the April 6, 2026, episode of Monday Night RAW. A backstage segment quickly turned into something far more physical than scripted chaos — leaving Morgan with a black eye, swelling, and a noticeable welt.

Morgan addressed the situation publicly during an appearance on ESPN’s First Take on April 15, where the injuries were impossible to ignore. A dark bruise surrounded her eye. A raised swelling on her forehead told the rest of the story — no replay needed.
When asked about her condition, Morgan kept it straightforward. “I’m doing so much better than I’m looking,” she said, before pushing back on criticism often aimed at the industry. “You cannot fake this bruising, you cannot fake this swelling.”
The injury occurred during a backstage ambush involving Women’s World Champion Stephanie Vaquer and Roxanne Perez. After Vaquer attacked from behind, Morgan and Perez collided head-to-head before Morgan was driven into a monitor. The result was a “golf ball-sized” hematoma and visible bruising — a receipt that didn’t come in an envelope.
Both Morgan and Perez were placed in concussion protocol following the incident. However, Morgan has continued her media appearances and even made a courtside appearance at a San Antonio Spurs game, signaling steady recovery.
Despite the setback, the Royal Rumble winner remains scheduled to challenge Vaquer for the Women’s World Championship at WrestleMania 42 on April 18–19 in Las Vegas. Reports indicate there is optimism she will be medically cleared in time.
