Nick Khan has once again addressed WWE’s plan for WrestleMania 43. And despite the backlash, the company is not changing course.
The company plans to take WrestleMania 43 to Riyadh in 2027 as scheduled. That’s a very big shift for them. First time ever outside the United States or Canada. Fans noticed this change very quickly online some supported the bold move instantly and others clearly didn’t like it much.
WWE President Nick Khan didn’t avoid the topic at all here. He made everything very clear publicly and WWE is moving forward with the same plan.
Nick Khan reaffirms WWE’s Saudi Arabia plans for WrestleMania 43
Speaking at the SBJ CAA World Congress of Sports in Los Angeles, Nick Khan confirmed it again clearly via The Sporting Tribune.
“We’re doing WrestleMania next year in Saudi. First time ever, WrestleMania will be outside the United States or Canada. And we’ve had a big, fruitful partnership with them.”
Khan believes fans will continue to support WWE worldwide. He said, “When we go, it doesn’t have to be only here. Our fans will tune in … no matter where we go.”
Khan also addressed the criticism about WWE events in Saudi Arabia. He described it as a “vocal minority,” adding that company decisions are driven by “ratings, revenue and relevancy.”
“Some of the complaints are, ‘I didn’t like the match — you guys are pieces of shit.’ And I go, ‘OK, I got it.’ Some are, ‘Hey, we had an obstructed view.’ OK — we’ll have you come to our next show. People are allowed to complain,” Khan said (via SBJ) but we don’t adjust our business based on complaints. We adjust based on ratings, revenue, relevancy.”
